At this time of year, we get so many phone calls from clients ready to start their renovation and remodelling projects.
People are often unsure of what to expect from an interior designer in our team, so I would like to outline below what a typical ‘first meeting’ is like with a client! I promise it is positive and painless!
Typically, the initial meeting is held after we have received some background information via email or phone about the project. The meeting is usually a brief introduction where we listen to the client’s objectives. We typically cover topics such as the reason for the renovation, what pain points need to be addressed and what dreams are lurking in our clients’ hearts!
It is in this meeting that both client and designer determine if they are a good fit for each other. A potential client can research a designer via their website, where they can review the designer’s current and past projects. Before and after pictures are a very good place to get an idea of the designer’s aesthetic. It is also important to read reviews and references from the designer’s clients. These steps will help you to choose a reliable designer who is able to work well with your design intentions!
