Dundarave House, West Vancouver

Interior Design

Ocean properties pose a unique challenge in that space comes at a premium and the views must be maximized. The Peach Interior Design team created a design plan which took advantage of every square inch of space while maintaining and open and organized floor plan. The home’s exterior was renovated and freshly painted and the master bedroom was redesigned to accommodate his-and-hers closets.

Home Renovation

This beautiful three-level Dundarave home received a full interior/exterior renovation. With its grand ocean views, the Peach Interior design team chose to open up the hidden kitchen to create a breezy openness – connecting it to the breakfast nook, formal dining room and family room. The staircase received a total refurbish and became a stunning showpiece. We stripped the old carpet and installed sturdy bamboo hardwood. We replaced the old balusters with longer and leaner ones, thus creating height and the illusion of expansion while maintaining the home’s traditional lines and details. The bamboo hardwood was used throughout the space to create a seamless continuity.

Kitchen Design

The kitchen, once boxy and confined, is now open and airy. The Peach Interior Design Team removed the walls and windows that separated the kitchen and breakfast nook and we raised the low ceiling, thus creating an open and liberated the space. The sleek glass, upper-cabinets compliment the higher ceiling, elongating the space and providing more storage. The stainless steel backsplash adds a sleek and modern touch to the overall design of this contemporary kitchen.
