Home Renovation
This three bedroom condo in the heart of Yaletown was redesigned and upgraded to accommodate a new master ensuite that added space and comfort to the home. The kitchen and bathroom were remodelled and the design team installed new hardwood floors, modern lighting, and closet organizers were added to create more storage.
Interior Design
The original concept for this three bedroom Yaletown condo was to create a casual living space that provided comfort. We expanded the master ensuite to make it more functional for a busy professional couple. The expansion added significant value to the condo and by re-purposing the small hall closet off the side of the kitchen and opening it to the dining area, we created open storage for wine bottles, chargers and their collection of glass and dinnerware.
Kitchen Design
The galley kitchen was closed off without visual connection to the living and dining areas. It was dark and constricting. As with all design projects, there are natural barriers and restrictions to overcome. Such was the case with this kitchen remodel as plumbing lines ran vertically throughout all of the suites in the building. Our design team was able to create a plan that removed a partial wall which now allows the natural light to pour into the space. We also addressed the drop ceiling and poor lighting. A glass backsplash was installed that is easy to clean and gives a fun, modern look to the kitchen. For the more sentimental types, the backsplash can be used to write little love notes; for the more practical types, this space can be a place to create menus, grocery lists, and ‘honey-to-do’ items!
Bathroom Design
Our clients have a busy lifestyle. Their interior design plan needed to address both efficiency and tranquility. The Peach Interiors team borrowed space from the closet area to expand the bathroom. The new bathroom design layout includes a double sink, a makeup vanity, a dressing table and an exquisite french door that allows natural light to flow into the space.
A custom-made shower with a frameless glass door and high end shower heads, features a hand-held shower wand, shampoo niche and seating ledge. Custom-made showers use less water and bring greater resale value to condominiums. They are preferred by clients with busy lifestyles.
