Our goal with the Ambleside House was to unify and connect their disparate rooms to increase the spaciousness and flow throughout. We freed the kitchen space by removing the unnecessary partitioning walls and opening up the two-directional view, creating an open connection between the living and eating spaces.

To continue the hardwood luscious detailing throughout the house, we removed the dated carpeting in the staircase and replaced it with the same rich, cherry utilized throughout the house. We created a more airy, updated feeling in the stairwell by removing the heavy wood beams and replacing them with sleek banisters with cable tie accents.

In the en-suite bathroom we updated the tired, throw-back design in favor of a clean, contemporary edge. We have optimized the space and natural light available in this room through our materials and updated shower, window, sinks and detailing.
